My Approach
Healing that moves
from the roots up.
01
Grounded in the Body
Trauma lives in the body before it lives in words. We start by building the nervous system resources that make it safe to feel — settling, orienting, and developing the capacity to stay present with difficult experience rather than brace against it.
- Nervous system resourcing
- Trauma processing
- Embodied presence
02
Rooted in Relationship
Once there is enough safety in the body, the deeper layers can surface. Within the steadiness of the therapeutic relationship, we turn toward the parts of you that have been hidden or burdened — meeting them with curiosity rather than shame, and letting them be heard.
- Parts work
- Inner child & protective parts
- Relational healing
03
Reaching Toward Meaning
As old burdens lift, something opens. Depth and transpersonal work help us follow that opening — toward purpose, values, and the larger questions of a life, including the careful preparation and integration of psychedelic experiences.
- Depth psychology
- Transpersonal psychology
- Psychedelic integration

About
Hi, I’m Elan.
Many people come to me having already tried a great deal: talk therapy, medication, the books and the videos. They’ve worked hard and still feel stuck, caught somewhere between who they’ve been and who they’re becoming.
That space between is where I work. I don’t believe healing is about fixing what’s broken; it’s about rediscovering a wholeness that trauma, shame, and conditional love have buried but never erased. My approach moves from the ground up: first building safety and steadiness in the nervous system, then using the body as a map to surface and unburden what has been stored there, and finally opening toward meaning, purpose, and what becomes possible when the weight lifts.
I also specialize in psychedelic preparation and integration. Drawing on four years as a psychedelic researcher at the University of Washington, I offer grounded, clinically informed support for those preparing for or making meaning of a psychedelic experience, whether in a clinical trial, a retreat, or a personal context.
My name, Elan, means “oak tree” in Hebrew. Like the oak, I believe we grow strongest when we’re deeply rooted: connected to our bodies, our stories, and something larger than ourselves.
